TortillaLand is different from most other tortillas you'll find in grocery stores. Our tortillas are made fresh from 5 simple ingredients - wheat flour, water, canola oil, salt and sugar.

To bring this freshness and simplicity of ingredients to you, we insist TortillaLand tortillas are kept in your grocery store's refrigerated section. Since you sometimes have to look a little harder to find us, last month, we introduced new packaging. Consumers who liked our tortillas said they couldn't find us. That was hard for us to take. We thought long and hard about how best to do this.

A primary area of improvement is the addition of a cardboard sleeve, as you can see from the photo uptop. It is an environment friendly and made from recycled paper. It helps protect the tortillas and it costs us more to make.

We are thoroughly committed to the environment both in the way we make our product and the packaging it comes in.  Our new package carries the recycable seal. In the future, we are even going to be taking the inks out or bags and will continue to look for ways to make our packaging as environmentally friendly as possible.

We have rolled our new package out to grocery stores. Walmart's, Sam's and Costco, that carry only our larger sizes, continue to carry our bag-only package.

When we decided to start TortillaLand Talk, our company blog, we did it to have an open dialogue with you. We also hope you will have an open dialogue with us.

What makes us look forward to coming to work in the morning is to hear from consumers like you how much you love and enjoy our fresh, uncooked tortillas.  We don't ever want to let you down. We just want to help make it easier for you to find TortillaLand tortillas, adhering to the highest environmental standards.

Please let us know if you have any comments about our new packaging.  We want to listen and we will respond to each and every one of them.
